  Nothing super interesting happened on this day in WSOP history, so here's a factoid: In the final hand of the 2000 WSOP Main Event, Chris Ferguson held the A♠9♣, while T.J. Cloutier held the A♦Q♣. Although he knew that he might be behind, Ferguson made the call as Cloutier had outplayed him during a terrific heads-up comeback. One of the three Nines in the deck landed on the river to give "Jesus" the crown.
