- 1977: Doyle Brunson Wins 1977 WSOP Main Event to Defend Title
Defeats field of 34, including Gary Berland heads up, for $340,000, fourth bracelet, and second of year. The Main Event is the 50th event in WSOP history and the 51st bracelet (because Aubrey Day and Jack Straus each got one for chopping the 1973 $3,000 No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Draw).

Australian finishes 19th for $12,000 to increase her women's record to three cashes in one year. Wendeen Eolis becomes the first woman to cash twice with the same prize for 20th place as the two become the first pair of women to cash in one Main Event.

Defeats field of 107, including Phil Hellmuth heads up, for $207,580.

Defeats field of 113 for $146,250 and ties Annie Duke's record with second final table of year (8th in $2,500 Seven-Card Stud for $5,780).
