Main Event Final Hand
[Hide Final Hand]

Dr. Bruce Van Horn begins heads-up play with a 2-to-1 chip advantage, but the Californian Huck Seed is playing extremely loosely and unpredictably. When Van Horn's next preflop raise is met by an all in, the Oklahoman thinks his Ace-Jack is in great shape. Unfortunately, this time Seed has a hand, pocket Queens, and he takes the chip lead.

Thirteen hands later, Van Horn holds King-Eight on a Nine-Eight-Four flop and again figures he is ahead despite Seed's bet. His raise is met by an all in, which he calls. The turn gives him nine more flush outs, but the river blanks, and Van Horn is out in second place for $585,000. Seed gets the title and the million bucks.
