Notes:

WSOP.com shows two events in 1972, but their tournament schedule numbers these as #2 and #5, indicating that they believe three other events were held. Some information on two of the missing events is now known.

The 2020 WSOP took place online during the summer with hopes of playing live in the fall. This did not happen except for the conclusion of the Main Event.

The number of bracelets awarded each year has been the same as the number of events except for the following:

In 1973, Aubrey Day and Jack Straus chopped the $3,000 No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven Draw.
From 1979 to 1983, the Mixed Doubles event awarded an extra bracelet.
Since 2016, the Tag Team event has provided extra bracelets. Each of the tournaments has won by a team of two, except in 2019 when a team of three won.

WSOP Europe debuted in 2007, while WSOP Asia-Pacific ran in both 2013 and 2014. Both festivals occurred in 2013, while neither happened in 2016 as the WSOP Asia-Pacific was ended.

The WSOP Circuit National Championship has been a bracelet event since 2011.

In 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the WSOP, then was held all online except for the end of the Main Event. WSOP Europe was cancelled, while the WSOP Main Event was scheduled for November 29 to December 30 but ran into 2021 after a delay.

WSOP Paradise Island debuted in 2023.
